After the oil massage, bundles of medicated powder tied in a piece of linen are heated and pressed all over the vital points of body.

Instead of medicinal powder, medicated leaves are used for making the bundles. The procedure is as above.

Relieves joint pain, arthritis, gout and all rheumatic pain. Steam bath is recommended along with kizhis. Podikizhi and medicated steam bath is recommended for reducing obesity.

"Navara" is a special kind of rice available in kerala. Navara rice is prepared in milk and kashayam. This prepared rice is tied in a piece of linen and made into two bundles.

After the oil massage for 30 mts., these rice bundles are heated in milk and kashayam and pressed and pressed and massaged all over the body for 30 mts. to 1 hour.

Very effective for muscle weakness, polio, muscular dystrophy, cervical spodylosis, back pain due to sciatica.
